1989 –Reagan left office, the Berlin Wall came down and the WPA was born.  Some months later (in 1990), a few brave west coast pyros held their first event in Lake Havasu City.  Many of these original “Blasters” are still with us today and you will surely hear their stories at the seminars, on the lines, in the tent and at the Afterglows.

In 12 short weeks, we pay homage to our founders.  We will thank every member who signed up to give us strength.  And show our gratitude to all those who have carried the torch along the way.

Bound together by our common thread.. join us in Celebrating 20 Years of Pyrotechnic Excellence!

WESTERN WINTER BLAST XX
February 11-15, 2009 – Lake Havasu City, AZ

For this one and only time, it’s a 5-day event.  TWO public displays by two of the best: Aaron Mayfield (AM Pyro) and Sam Bruggema (Pyro Spectaculars).  Comets, mines, candles, LaRosa-family Italian shells, Japanese shells, Spanish one-shots, 10’s, 12’s and a 16.  Joe Bartolotta and Fireworks America will pay tribute to our late Rita Oesterle.  Matt Sutcliffe and Premier Pyrotechnics are now building their own shells.  Bill Zuber will be back with his gas bombs and ghost mines.

Do we really need to go on?  Because we can and Kief surely will.  This is it friends.. our 20th year and we’re doing it right.  Your entire staff has been working on this for months so let’s rock – register online now!
